European Gas Cooled Fast Reactor GoFastR

In FP7, GoFastR is the present Euratom contribution to the Gen IV gas cooled fast reactors (GFR) as an alternative for sodium cooled systems. Emphasis is put on fuel and safety considerations. In parallel, conceptual design and safety studies for the projected demonstration reactor ALLEGRO will be developed.

INR contributes with GFR and ALLEGRO safety studies. In addition, INR is responsible for the coordination of a benchmark based on experimental data from KIT facilities such as L-STAR and/or HELOKA, as well as participating in a benchmark based on experimental data coming from HE-FUS3 facility at Brasimone.
